Colorado owned. Colorado grown. Established in 1996 in Lower Downtown, Denver.
Our Story - About The Parlour LoDo
Some things don’t need explaining once you’ve seen them work. In 1996, seven years into what The Parlour was building in Boulder, we signed a lease on Wynkoop Street in Lower Downtown Denver — across from Union Station, in a neighborhood that’s become one of the most recognizable blocks in the city.
Thirty plus years later, the LoDo salon is still here.
The team here covers the full range of hair services — cuts, color, balayage, extensions, bridal styling, treatments — and brings a level of technical depth that only comes from years of ongoing education. The Parlour has always invested in its stylists the way good salons invest in their clients: consistently, and with a long view. That philosophy is evident in this location that’s been earning trust in this city since the nineties.
If you’re new to the neighborhood or new to us, the LoDo salon is a good place to start. Book online, or come in and ask questions first. We would love you to experience The Parlour Way in our Downtown Denver location.

FAQ
The Parlour LoDo is located at 1736 Wynkoop Street in Lower Downtown Denver, one block from Union Station. Street parking is available on Wynkoop and surrounding blocks, and the salon is easily accessible from the 16th Street Mall, the Denver B-Cycle network, and RTD’s Union Station transit hub.
The LoDo team specializes in the full range of color work — balayage, highlights, full color, color correction, toning, glazing, and grey blending. The Parlour works primarily with Wella color systems and R+Co finishing products, chosen for their technical consistency and long-term hair health. If you’re coming in for a significant color change or correction, a consultation before your service appointment is recommended.
For a standard cut or single-process color, booking 1–2 weeks in advance is typically sufficient. For balayage, extensions, or any multi-step color service, 2–3 weeks is recommended — particularly on Fridays and Saturdays, which fill earliest. New clients are always welcome, and online booking is available around the clock through our website.
Yes. The LoDo salon offers professional hair extension services including tape-in, hand-tied, and weft extensions. Extensions consultations are required prior to booking, as the right method depends on your existing hair texture, density, and color goals. The Parlour’s extension work is performed by stylists with advanced technical training — the same education-first approach that runs through every service we offer.
Every new client appointment at The Parlour begins with a consultation — a real conversation about your hair history, lifestyle, maintenance preferences, and what you’re trying to achieve. This isn’t a formality. Understanding how your hair behaves, what’s been done to it before, and how much time you realistically want to spend on it at home shapes every technical decision that follows. Come with photos if you have them, but don’t worry if you don’t. The conversation usually gets there on its own.
Yes. The LoDo salon offers bridal hair styling for weddings, elopements, and events across the Denver metro area. Services include bridal trials, day-of styling, and group bookings for wedding parties. Given LoDo’s proximity to many of Denver’s most popular event venues — including those near Union Station and in the downtown corridor — the salon is a convenient choice for bridal parties staying or celebrating nearby. Bridal bookings are scheduled separately from regular appointments; contact the salon directly to discuss your date and party size.
Pricing at The Parlour LoDo varies by stylist experience level and service type. Cuts generally start around $60 and range upward based on length and the stylist you’re working with. Color services are priced by time and product used. The most accurate pricing for your specific service is available during a consultation or by contacting the salon directly. The Parlour does not believe in hidden charges — what’s discussed before your service is what you’ll pay.
The Parlour has been in Colorado since 1989. That’s not a detail we lead with for nostalgia — it reflects something more practical: a long track record of training stylists who stay, build clientele, and grow into ownership within the brand. The LoDo location has been part of Denver’s Lower Downtown neighborhood since 1996, which means the team here has genuine roots in this city and this community. The work is precise, the education ongoing, and the approach is straightforward — do the job well, treat people right, and earn the next appointment.
